Come dive the Sound of Mull this Summer with Lochaline Dive Centre

Lochaline Dive Centre offers the highest quality services to divers coming to visit the world renowned Sound of Mull. Home to some of the best wreck dives in the UK, the Sound also offers an abundance of fantastic drift, shallow, scenic and shore dive sites.

Lochaline Dive Centre provides visiting divers the full diving package. The   vessel Sound Diver  – a 12.5m Offshore 125, is available for charter and always operated by both a qualified skipper . The boat is fitted with a hydraulic divers lift, are licensed to carry 12 divers and 2 crew, and can operate 60 miles from a safe haven.


Visiting divers will be able to stay in the dive centre’s accommodation, which sleeps up to 24, with 2 to a room. Each room is en suite with underfloor heating. The large communal and dining space at the dive centre provides the perfect place to hang out and socialise during your stay, and use of a drying room ensures that all divers needs are met. The O2 Café at the dive centre offers great food – freshly baked cakes (gluten free options available), soups, sandwiches, tea and coffee etc, and divers will have access to wifi while staying at the dive centre.

Lochaline Dive Centre offers trips for diving clubs and individuals, and divers will have a real diverse range of dive sites to add to your logbook. Great wreck sites such as the Rondo, Hispania, Shuna, Thesis and Breda are all regularly dived here, as well as drift dives at Loch Sunart and Calve Island, the underwater cliffs of Pennygowan Quarry and the scenic gullies and walls of Garvellachs and Grey Rocks.

In addition to being home to 17th century wrecks, the Sound is also a haven for marine life, where divers can easily see nudibranches, anemones, sunstars, deadmen’s fingers, sea squirts and much more. Dive trips can be tailored to suit individual needs and experience levels.
